Can you rely on Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is a fundamental part of western society and most of us matured with this magical icon. Recently I came upon the notion that Santa represents an original archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is defined as an inherited memory represented within the mind by a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching for such symbolic images of the dear old man I discovered that which Santa Claus is short for may also be used to motivate us in creating for your new year. I see him as being a fun-loving guy that literally brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes becoming reality. Throughout this season we are loaded with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment of being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, and also the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I find that santa in my house reflects several archetypes. He is seen from the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as feel that a greater day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith as well as the trust that all will probably be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not in the exercise of power which is the motive, however the drive to bestow care on people who require it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He or she is about giving to others fulfilling the requirements. And he will not ask for anything in turn except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He appears to be an effective guy, settling on who gets a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. Whenever we are great and if we feel, Santa will ensure we receive everything you want.
A substantial element of Santa’s story is the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney by the touch of his nose in addition to his yearly trek around the globe. And besides that, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and love to all, one child’s heart at the same time. Santa will be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to locate new methods of dealing, being and succeeding.
As we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our selections for 2010, let’s all make sure you use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you have chosen after which more clearly defined your options in creating your 2010 Journey, make use of this technique to shift your beliefs and allowing of that you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grownup part of trying to force, worrying over and wondering how things will alter, on the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. An integral aspect of the ability of Allowing would be to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings permits us to open to the Infinite Likelihood of the Universe.
Then too, we can liken Santa’s management techniques to your universal manager. Are you able to envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, within one night? And by the due date and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can perform for people, when we transform it onto God/Source. From the book “Ask & It Is Actually Given” among the Proven Processes is catchusanta it over to the manager. When we set our goals, it’s like delegating to some Universal Manager. So when we step back, and permit the Universe set things set up, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not letting go of choices, we’re merely turning over every piece of information and creating our choices.
I urge you to concentrate on giving to your Universal Manager everything you sense you have to do in this holiday week. You’ll discover it amazing that since we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve carried this out personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all of the chores I feel I must do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, although some just don’t seem so important. I’ve had times when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish several of the baking. I’ve learned to accept help and reply by using a grateful “Yes!” This method is priceless in all facets of life, not just the holidays. Legal Requirements of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to eventually bring me my desires, Now.
